Central Texas Turnpike System
(SH 130, SH 45N, Loop 1), TxDOT
(August 2002 – June 2007)
NLA was the public involvement lead for the engineering team providing oversight for Central Texas Turnpike System (CTTS) design changes and construction. The $3.25 billion system included the 49-mile SH 130 toll road (Segments 1-4) from north of Georgetown to US 183 southeast of Austin, the 12.8 mile SH 45N toll road from US 183 west to SH 130, and 4 miles of Loop 1 (MoPac) extending from Parmer Lane to SH 45N.
NLA’s responsibilities included the following:
- Preparation and distribution of monthly CTTS activity reports
- Development and implementation of traffic advisory plan
- Arrange and invite emergency personnel to traffic advisory coordination meetings
- Responses to and documentation of all public phone calls, emails and personal visits to the SH 130 project office
- Oversight of the SH 130 developer’s public involvement team
- Coordination with TxDOT PIO on media advisories and elected official requests
- Planning and implementation of the SH 130 Groundbreaking Ceremony
