183A, Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority

(March 2005 – July 2007)

 

NLA provided public involvement support to the General Engineering Consultant team responsible for overseeing development of this project, which was the first Regional Mobility Authority project in Texas. It involved construction of the initial portion of an 11.6-mile toll road paralleling US 183 from RM 620 in northwest Austin/Cedar Park to Whitestone Boulevard in Leander.

 

NLA responsibilities included the following:

 

• Preparation and distribution of monthly activity reports
• Preparation of project fact sheets and other materials as needed
• Preparation and facilitation of a public involvement team workshop
• Planning and implementation of community appreciation events

• • Venue identification, scheduling and contracting
  • Logistical coordination and layout preparation
  • Door hanger advertisements
  • Event staffing

• Logistical assistance and staffing for the US 183A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
• Planning, implementation, and documentation of meetings with stakeholders and elected officials
