NLA coordinated the public outreach activities during two phases of the SH 45SE project. First, during the environmental study and second, during construction of the toll road.

 

NLA responsibilities included:

 

• Public involvement strategy development and coordination
• Project contact database
• Project Newsletters
• Maintenance of project web site
• Open House/Public Hearing planning and implementation

• • Venue identification, scheduling and contracting
  • Layout preparation
  • Advertisements (English and Spanish display ads, legal notices)
  • Notifications (letters to elected and agency officials, flyers, etc.)
  • Handout and exhibit preparation
  • Court reporter and security contracting
  • Event staffing
  • Comment collection and response

• Summary report preparation
• Responding to inquiries on project
• Posting of project-related traffic advisories
